1.  I started off by looking for robots I wanted to base mine off, and chose these two for the aesthetics and color choice. To make my robot, I started with making basic shapes like the head by using the ellipse tool. and then moved onto more complicated parts like the arm and fingers by using a combination of shapes and the pen tool. If I had a shape with weird angles but straight lines, I used the pen tool, however if I had a shape with curves, I used the curvature pen tool to create the curves I wanted. When a shape had tons of small polygons, moving them around became finicky, so I united them together by selecting all of the polygons and under properties > Pathfinder, I pressed the two solid square icon. Then I moved onto the coloring, when I wanted a solid color, like the hair and tie, I selected the shape, and changed the fill color. If it was just the outline I wanted to change, then I would change the stroke color. And boom! There's my robot!

2. Vector graphics are quite different from raster graphics. Raster graphics found in PNGs and JPGs are composed by tons of pixels which represent a color. On the other hand, vector graphics use mathematical equations to make art. Raster graphics are great for images with tons of color and complexity, making it ideal for photographers and digital artists. Vector graphics are good for resizing without losing quality, becoming ideal for graphic designers.

3. As different graphics require different file formats, so do the software. Photoshop and Illustrator are both great at creating basic art, offer similar toolsets and allow the export to same standard formats. However, the two use different file formats, (psd, ai), Illustrator is severely limited in the color detail it can go compared to Photoshop, and Photoshop can not be perfectly resizable like Illustrator can.

4. Based on the learning target, "Interpret and explain terminology and practices specific to the graphic design sector by illustrating a Robot using 5 essential Ai skills such as creating art boards, drawing shapes, combining shapes, changing colors and using the pen tool " I feel that I exceeded in meeting the target as I was able to create a design requiring all sorts of shapes, using different tools to work together and create new shapes with the tools.
