Vector Landscape

1. I started this project off with creating an art-board and making one large rectangle to cover it up. The rectangle's color was changed to a gradient, that goes from a dark blue to a soft baby blue. Then I started work on the road; The road is not a regular rectangle but in fact a trapezoid made using the pen tool. The road was also given a gray gradient to add more texture to the group. White cross marks were added using the same process. Then I started working on the buildings. The polygons were long to give a skyscraper-like feel, and the sides given some edges. Windows were added at a slight angle to give off more that perspective. The buildings were given different colors as well as designs to add a bit of life to the landscape. After I added some stick people from the stop signs as silhouettes. I created a traffic light from basic shapes and added an outer glow to the red light. Finally to bring it all together I added litter.

2. Animators and color stylists use Ai in their profession by using color gradients and special effects to give live to the animations they are creating.

3. I wanted to create a landscape from the same perspective as the one from the album cover "Abby Road" but with a more city look. I wanted to create a deeper sense of perspective with the narrowing street but overall I got mostly with what I wanted.

4. Based on the learning target, "Apply refined observation and drawing skills to design and create a vector landscape with a foreground, middle ground and background in Adobe Illustrator by using gradients, image trace the pen tool and shape tool sprayer " I feel that I was able to exceed it because I used custom made polygons and shapes to create a foreground, middle ground and background to give a sense of perspective. For example, The beige building  is made up from two shapes, one darker colored one with a flat top and a lighter one that has a slanted top to give the perspective that it is at an angle, and the light being reflected off the sun.
